About Me
I am Dave Fairclough; an independent author and illustrator based in Warrington, in the North West of England.
My fiancé and I still live in the Warrington area with our two children; Carys and Esme.
For the past 10+ years I have worked within the public sector and have been given a large amount of experience of working with mental health.
This, mixed with 25+ years of ‘hobbying’ as an illustrator, led me towards creating children’s books that will promote self-help and independence, by providing techniques and methods of regulating your emotions.
Furious Frank (& How He Copes) arrived a while after, with techniques showing children ways to safely control their anger, allowing them to work through their emotions - but promoting acceptance, especially for the occasions they aren’t able to.
Being able to accept yourself, every aspect of you, is difficult, but essential. Implanting this idea in children from a young age is designed to help them as they grow and develop.
